Nice Work If You Can Get It leading man Matthew Broderick will guest star on an upcoming episode of TV's Modern Family, reports TVLine.com. Broderick is the latest in a slew of Broadway stars to appear on the show including Bobby Cannavale, Nathan Lane, Lin-Manuel Miranda and more.
Broderick will play a neurotic friend of Phil’s (Ty Burrell) during the fourth season of ABC sitcom, which returns on September 26. The date of Broderick’s episode has not yet been announced.
A well-known star on both stage and screen, Broderick recently originated the role of Jimmy Winter in Nice Work If You Can Get It. He won Tony Awards for his roles in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying and Brighton Beach Memoirs. His additional theater credits include The Philanthropist, The Odd Couple, The Producers and Taller Than a Dwarf. His film and TV credits include Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Tower Heist, Election, The Freshman, The Cable Guy and The Producers.
